Rock Review TR day with preference for those who are part of the Women’s Mentorship Group! Moderate routes up to and including 10a will be set for TR; all levels encouraged!  Those who are comfortable leading and assisting on setting up TR please email the coordinators with your comfort lead grade.

Main goal is to provide a positive crag day to work on technique, have fun, and meet potential 2019 summer partners.  A great chance for those new to outdoors or those who want to work on techniques early season to get out and have a day out.

The plan is to meet either at Rafter Six Ranch at 8:00 AM (for those staying the Friday night or for those wanting to carpool from there) OR meeting at the crag day use area for 9:00 AM. Climb as much as possible then leave the crag around 4:00 PM.

I will hopefully be reserving club ropes and anchor kits for the day, but if you could bring your own gear to ensure that we have enough, that would be fantastic! If you do plan on bringing personal gear, please mention it in the notes section when signing up. Friendly reminder that helmets are mandatory for both climbing and belaying. Smiles mandatory as well!

Required Items to Bring:

Helmet (strictly required - no helmet - no climbing), harness, belay device, climbing shoes, personal anchor with a locking carabiner.

Recommended Items to Bring:

Sport climbing gear, water, snacks, camera, sunscreen (be optimistic), gluten-free vegan snacks to share with leaders (and not the wildlife)!

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

Participants who are attending will be notified of crag location.

Carpool Departure Time:   08:00 AM
Carpool Location:   Rafter Six Ranch

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
