Itinerary: |
This will be a relaxed day of cragging
somewhere up Highway 40 (likely Wasootch or
Porcupine creek). It will be beginner friendly
and we will set up some top ropes on 5.6 - 5.9
routes. Participants need to be able to provide
top rope belay. If more advanced climbers want to
join and set up ropes on harder routes they are
welcome to join us. Helmets and sturdy
approach/belay shoes are required.
|
Required Items to Bring: |
Harness, belay device and locker, climbing
shoes, helmet. We will reserve club ropes and
anchor kits for the day, but if you have your
own and want to bring them it will help ensure
everyone has lots of opportunity to climb.
|
|
Recommended Items to Bring: |
Everything else for a nice day out. Food, water,
sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, camping chair, camera,
guidebook, approach shoes, bear spray, etc.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
