Itinerary: |
This will be an easy paced tour to the top of
Richardson's Ridge for some scenery, and, as
conditions allow, a fine "black diamond" NE-
aspect run down Corral Creeek#3 on sparsely
treed ribs to near the Skoki Trail half-way hut
(there are mellower down-track options, too).
The route is described in the "Lake Louise
Sunshine Banff Ski Touring Guide":
http://backcountryskiingcanada.com/Backcountry-
Skiing-Lake-Louise-Ski-Resort.
Be prepared for a wee bit (50 vertical ft or
so) of boot-packing up a windward col to gain
the ridge top. Have fun with it, its an easy
paced trip.
Trip is about 7 km in with 840 m elevation
gain, with a short and flat skin-out to Skoki
Trail and a nice easy ski-out all the way back
to the cars. The easy and fast ski-out gives
us lots of time to enjoy the scenery.

Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
