Itinerary:
A partner fell through, so a last minute posting... The plan is to ski to Scott Duncan on Friday, ski over to Balfour on Saturday, climb it, possibly ski the east face if it looks good, likely just take the ridge back down. Either option is possible. Other objectives include Niles and Daly. You should be a really good downhill skier, reasonably fit with knowledge of crevasse rescue and AST 2 to take on this trip. Some knowledge of the terrain you are getting yourself into is probably also a good idea. Cost is 30 dollars.
Required Items to Bring:
Transceiver (3 antennas only), probe, shovel. Ski gear and layers, Glacier kit, axe, crampons, overnight gear for an unheated, but sufficiently pleasant hut.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Sun glasses, sun screen, water proof shell.

How to Get There:
Carpool Departure Time:   05:30 AM
Carpool Location:   Canada Olympic Park
Carpool Directions:   To be confirmed

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
