Itinerary:
Friendly ice climbing trip for beginners or people who want an easy day! We're thinking about Cobra Verde right now, but we are also considering potentially cragging at King Creek or the Junkyards. You should be able to get up a WI3, but you don't need to lead unless you want to. If you have a rope/anchor/gear to lead or set up top- rope, please include that information in the comments section when you sign up. Please also email Tobias and I with a brief ice climbing resume if we haven't climbed together before. Carpool time will be finalized once we have determined on our participants.
Required Items to Bring:
Ice tools, crampons, climbing boots, belay jacket, climbing gloves, belay gloves, harness, helmet, belay device, 2 locking carabiners, water, food, warm clothing, gas money if carpooling.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Hot drinks, extra gloves, sunglasses.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
