Rock Review is an annual
event. Reviews are a season-opener. It is an
opportunity for beginners to get their feet
under them and receive some mentorship, for
members to socialize, join one another on
climbs, and thaw out our iced-over rock skills.
MEALS AND ACCOMMODATIONS:
We
have booked camping at Rafter's 6 Ranch.
Tents and RVs can both be accommodated. There
are port-o-potties and a fire ring. *WE
need
to
bring our OWN DRINKING WATER

Make your payment for Rock Review using the
standard
method of sending an e-transfer to the
treasurer. Instructions
as follows:
ONCE YOU HAVE PAID: Take a screenshot (or
"print" to pdf)
of the receipt PayPal
displays and send it to Vince OR if using the
e-Transfer option,
forward the email sent to the treasurer to
Vince. Regardless of
payment method, use the email address vinzafy@gmail.com with the subject
title: "Rock
Review 2019 Payment". Once sent, you should be
added to
the attendee list within 24 hours.
$25 gets you 2 nights of
camping (Friday & Saturday) and a Saturday-
night
meal
(Burgers on the BBQ with sides and all dietary
accommodations). Children 12 & under pay a
reduced cost of
$10 (if your party includes children, please
pay
by e-transfer as
the paypal will not offer you the correct
payment
ammount).
We cannot do partial payments,
even if you
don't want to camp Friday. Once you have paid,
you will be
moved onto the event. This can take at least a
week.
LEADERS: Leaders will post
trips independent of the camping/meal. You will
need to sign up both for the review and for a
trip (or plan a private trip). Expect some
group TR/cragging events for all levels and
some multipitch objectives. Expect a leader
planning meeting in late winter, and possible
leader retreat in early June.
PLANNING: We will still
need
help to
organize the event especially the food/cooking.
YOU
DO NOT NEED ANY ROCK EXPERIENCE TO HELP WITH
PLANNING.
MINORS: We welcome
participants of all ages, those 16 and under
must attend with a parent or other designated
adult. All minors (18 and under) should contact
the leaders when signing up.

Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
