This is a Women's Climbing Mentorship Group trip, priority to women & group participants. The purpose of this group is for women to have the opportunity to learn in an environment where they are not the minority and can expect supportive coaching. We will head to whichever crag seems likely to be in good shape such as: Kings Creek (most likely), Balfour Wall, Wedge Smear, Junkyards upper, Johnston Canyon. Expect a drive of 1-2 hours and an approach of 20- 50min, we may determine that we need to leave earlier than the posted time. Group size of 8 depends on participation of additional leaders.
Required Items to Bring:
Lots of warm layers (the most challenging part of ice for most is staying warm) , hot drinks & food, hand warmers. Harness, helmet, belay device, boots & crampons.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Eat hearty before the trip (protein/fat heavy) These calories will keep you warm during the day.

Email with questions if you have them.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
