Itinerary: |
There will be top-ropes setup and this is a beginner friendly area. Participants must know hot to top rope belay and I will need at least on lead belayer to get me up the climb. If you know how to lead belay, please let me know, so I can aim for success!
Grades range from WI 2/2+ to WI 4. Plan will be to lead up the easy ice and then setup top ropes on both easy and steep lines.
If participants can lead, they are welcome to.
The approach is about an hour, so plan accordingly. You will need a good pack to carry all your stuff and make sure you have layers or changes of clothes to manage hiking vs. ice climbing. You will get warm and sweaty on the approach.
I will need people to help carry ropes, so be prepared that you may be asked to do that.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
