Itinerary:
Don’t want to learn how to navigate in a whiteout? Learn to avoid it by learning about the weather:) Learn how the weather works in the mountains! This program will go over fronts, clouds, weather charts, satellite photos, information available on the Internet, same day in the field forecasting and getting a longer term outlook. This is an all day course. Instructor is Rod Plasman from ACC Rocky Mountain Section.
Required Items to Bring:
Pen, paper, and if you like a laptop or smart phone to look up weather on websites (though a laptop is not required).

Notes:
Cost is $50 per person. YOU DO NOT NEED TO WAIT TO BE APPROVED TO TAKE THIS COURSE, YOU CAN SEND PAYMENT IMMEDIATELY AFTER SIGNING UP - UPON RECEIPT OF PAYMENT I WILL ADD YOU TO THE COURSE. To secure a spot by send payment (via e- transfer) to the Treasurer at treasurerClub@acccalgary.ca along with the following information: Name, Full Address with postal code, phone number, email, event title and date, trip leader/coordinator and the password to accept the payment. These details assist the bookkeeper in sending out receipts for payments. Once I have confirmation from the Treasurer that you have paid your deposit, I will move you from the waiting to the attendee list. The easiest way to send payment is via e-transfer. People will be added to the trip on a first paid first on basis.

No refunds. Send someone in your place if you can’t attend.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
