Itinerary:

Let's drive out to Rampart Creek Hostel on Friday night, ice climb Saturday and Sunday and then drive back to Calgary. There will be a group dinner in the hostel on Saturday night, but otherwise participants are in charge of their own food.

The hostel is $29.82 per night, with associated discounts if you have a HI membership, wilderness pass etc. Attendees are responsible for hostel costs and their share of gas costs.

Adrian and myself will organize the carpooling dinner and dates, but participants are expected to be somewhat self sufficient, able to identify appropriate areas for their skill level and find partners from within the other attendees.

If you sign up with a preferred partner, please let me know so that I can plan group size/partnering appropriately.

Ice varies at this time of year, so you should be prepared for a wide variety of conditions. The ice climbing will be 'choose your own adventure'. This is not a good trip if this is your first time ice climbing.

Once you sign up, please send Adrian or Julie the following information.

-Do you lead ice? -If you do not lead ice, what grade ice have you followed and have you done any multi-pitch? -What equipment do you have?

Participants will be moved to the attendance list sometime in September

Required Items to Bring:
Ice axes, helmet, harness, crampons, warm clothes, food. Whatever is allocated for group dinner on Saturday

Recommended Items to Bring:
Beverages of choice, guidebooks, stuff for the sauna

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
