Itinerary:
Let's go for a day of rock climbing in the Ghost. I will be taking my 4X4 in and can take 3 other people. Others wishing to participate must also have a 4X4 and/or high clearance vehicle for the trip in. The Ghost is a remote area with no facilities, so please be prepared for the adventure. I will be looking for a mix of people who can lead and those wanting to top rope, but you must be able to provide a safe belay. There is a creek crossing, so you will need wet runners or similar shoes. This event will be weather and smoke dependant and could be cancelled on short notice if either are unfavourable.
Required Items to Bring:
helmet, harness, rock shoes, biners, rope and draws if leading, food, water

Recommended Items to Bring:
sunscreen, bug spray, hiking poles, rain jacket, small first aid kit

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   Park at Marker 39, cross the creek, and follow the main path up to STD.
Carpool Departure Time:   07:00 AM
Carpool Location:   Our Lady of Assumption School
Carpool Directions:   Just north of 16 Ave on Sarcee Trail.

Notes:
This will be a longer day, due to the travel time into and out of the Ghost. Please advise in the comments section if you have a 4X4 or high clearance vehicle, and if you have ropes/draws/anchor you would like to bring.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
