We will be doing an after work climb as high as
time permits us to on the Rundlehorn (5.5 sport
with a rappel descent). Since it's a rappel
descent, we can turn around at any point, and
so can adapt to the group's pace. Priority
will be given
to Women's Climbing Mentorship Group
participants who are new to multi-pitch
climbing. Participants can either second the
climb, or lead portions if they are up for it.
We will carpool from Calgary Tuesday after
work at 4:30 and will return Tuesday
evening. Please do not hesitate to email with
questions.
Once we have determined the party we will
coordinate further plans. Please send an email
to Susan or Leah with the following
information:
-Do you know how to rappel?
-Have you climbed a multi-pitch before?
-Do you know how to set an anchor and how to
do a top down belay?
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
