As the forecast for Sunday looks great, let's have
a crag day at
Grassi! The plan is to meet at the climbers
parking area by
Whiteman's Pond (see inset map below) at 10:00 AM
and
climb until around 5:00 PM. As I'll be out camping
Saturday night, please figure out carpooling
amongst each other.
The main areas I plan to be at are the walls by
the upper lake
(i.e. Gardener's, Meathooks, and Graceland). I'm
more than
happy to set a couple topropes up but if you're
comfortable
leading and building anchors, that would be ideal.
Currently, I have three club ropes and one anchor
so if you
could bring your own gear to ensure we have
enough, that
would be fantastic.
Friendly reminder that helmets are
mandatory
for both climbing and belaying. Please don't
forget to bring
one!
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to
get in touch
with me via email (vinzafy@gmail.com) or phone
(403)561-
0988.
Required Items to Bring:
Climbing shoes, helmet, harness, belay device,
snacks, water
Recommended Items to Bring:
Personal gear (i.e. ropes, anchors, and draws),
enthusiasm to
ward off rain, and oreos for cragging
