Itinerary:
Hut Cost is $70 per person for the two nights. Trip leaders' hut cost is subsidized by participants. Priority will be given to Women's Climbing Mentorship Group participants. We will carpool from Calgary on Saturday and head in to Bow Hut (215km/2.5 hr drive + 8km/390m gain hike). We will attempt alpine objectives Sunday, likely St. Nicholas &/or Olive peaks (at least 6-8km r/t & ~600-800m gain). Both peaks involve roped glacier travel followed by scrambling & the St. Nicholas ridge has significant exposure with steep drops on both sides. Pace will be moderate with likely early start. More complete information & route descriptions will be provided to the final party. Feel free to sign up on the waitlist now to indicate your interest, we will not populate the trip until later in the summer, we will send out an email requesting information about your experience. This is an objective based trip, so while we will have time for learning & mentorship, we will also be interested in having an efficient team and will expect that you have learned basic mountaineering skills (self- belay/self-arrest, crampon & ice-axe use, crevasse rescue). If you are new to alpine climbing it is recommended you participate in Alpine Review and/or an introductory mountaineering course as a minimum prerequisite. Please do not hesitate to email with questions (annedrewpotter@gmail.com).
Required Items to Bring:
helmet, harness, mountaineering ice ax, crampons, first aid kit, layers, personal meals.

If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons.
