This
mentorship
event is part of the AMP (Alpine Mentorship
Program) organized by ACC Calgary section
jointly
with ACMG Guide Brent Peters.
Do you want
to
learn how to multi-pitch and be competent at
leading simpler multi-pitch routes or be a great
second? Then this event is for you.
Cost: $97.
(This
event
is a
great deal compared to other similar events)
This Alpine
Mentorship Event is called pre-AMP because it is
for people new to outdoor multi-pitch climbing.
The only
pre-requisite is that you have done some
climbing
and leading outside up to 5.8. This event
will allow you to safely transition to multi-
pitch
climbing. The curriculum for the day is as
follows: multi-pitch practice including building
anchors, tie into anchors, bringing up a second,
rope management and descending a route.
Since this
event is for beginners we will not be screening
participants. Who pays first, gets to go.
