This mentorship event is part of the AMP
(Alpine Mentorship
Program) organized by ACC Calgary section jointly
with ACMG
Guide Brent Peters.
Have you been trying to make the transition
into outdoor
sport climbing? Do you want to learn to lead and
safely belay
your friend? If so, this event is for you!
Cost: $97
This Alpine Mentorship Event is called pre-AMP
because it
is for people new to outdoor sport climbing. The
only pre-
requisite is that you have done some climbing and
leading in the
gym up to 5.8. This 1-day event will allow you to
safely
transition to outdoor leading. The course will
cover lead
climbing, lead belaying, efficient clipping and
unclipping.
Because this event is for beginners we will not
be screening
participants. Whoever pays first, gets to go.
