Itinerary: |
Participants: Anyone looking to
practice/learn snow climbing skills is welcome
on this trip.
If you are registered for another Alpine Review
trip on another day, this can be a great way to
round out the weekend! Or you can attend two
full days of skills training to really get
tuned up for the coming alpine season.
We'll work on skills such as climbing steep
snow, step kicking, self-arrrest, glissading,
roping up for glacier travel, crevasse rescue,
route-finding, anchors, etc. The plan for each
day can be flexible to account for what
participants are most keen to practice, so come
with ideas!
The Plan:
Meet at Rampart Creek hostel at 7:30am to
form teams and distribute group gear. From
there we'll head to Parker's ridge to practice
for the day.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
