Itinerary:
The Calgary Section Exec has identified a desire in our membership for introductory courses for women-only participants. This one day course, will cover gear placement, and the basics of how to lead traditional rock routes. The day will be spent mock leading and getting feedback on rock climbs at a location determined by Sarah.

Cost : $135

This trip will be a first-come-first-serve and this is based on who can deliver their $135 cheque/cash/INTERAC e-Transfer first. Your payment options are as follows: mail a cheque out to the attention of "Alpine Club of Canada - Calgary Section" to the address I will email you once a few have registered.. Or send an INTERAC e-Transfer to the ACC Treasurer using treasurer@ACCCalgary.ca, Let the treasurer know your name, email and the course it is for! Also, send a follow-up email to the Treasurer with the password. We prefer INTERAC e- Transfer. Pease be advised that if you have paid and need to pull out of the course, there will be no refund. Rather, it will be your responsibility to find a replacement and obtain a cash transfer from that person. The T&L Committee will work to help find a replacement if time allows. The sooner we know that you cannot attend the better.
Required Items to Bring:
Sarah will email you a detailed list closer to the date.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   Sarah will decide and email the participants 3-4 days before the course.

As a full ACMG Alpine guide, she spends her summers guiding rock and alpine and her winters guiding ice and mixed routes. Having climbed for over 20 years, Sarah has traveled and worked in various places throughout the US, Mexico, South America and Asia to explore the mountains of the world. Highlights have included a first ascent of a 6000m peak bordering Tibet (Sachun 5.10+ M5), new ice lines in Iceland, participating in various climbing competitions and achieving a personal goal of climbing 5.13.
