Itinerary:
A day of top roping or leading at Sheep River. We expect all participants to be able to safely belay and clean ice anchors. Participants who do not lead are still welcome. (Please bring an anchor setup and rope/personal gear still, as we expect members to be relatively self- sufficient once the ropes are up). Carpooling location and time will be finalized once participant list is determined. Bring cash for gas. The ice climbs range from WI2-WI4. If you haven't climbed with either of us before, please send us a brief introduction and description of your climbing ability (ex. how long have you been climbing, where/what have you climbed)
Required Items to Bring:
Warm clothes: gloves, more than one pair. belay jacket, harness, beaners, belay device, ice tools, boots, anchor set-up crampons, brain bucket, head lamp. If you want to lead, bring your own screws. If you do not want to lead but have some screws, please bring them as well. Tobias and I will not have enough ropes/gear on our own to set up multiple top- ropes.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Hot drinks, snacks, camera for those moments!! Fist aid kit if have.

If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
