Itinerary:
Depart Calgary Friday 7AM. Ski into Peyto Hut Friday and bag one of of the closer peaks if time permits. Do two more summits on Saturday and Sunday. Return to Calgary late on Sunday. Most likely summits are Baker, Habel and Mistaya. Second choices are Trapper, Peyto or Thompson. Choices will depend on avi and weather conditions. I purposely schedule this trip for later in winter to hopefully finally get the conditions to climb some of these harder peaks many of which require bootpacking with crampons and ski mountaineering skills. The cost for this trip is $65 which includes two nights at the hut.
Required Items to Bring:
Ski gear, avi gear, glacier gear, and ice- axe/crampons and ski crampons.

How to Get There:
Carpool Departure Time:   07:00 AM
Carpool Location:   TBD

Notes:
Participants will be screened on avi and crevasse- rescue training as well as recent ski mountaineering experience. Once you've been accepted on the trip please pay $65 via email transfer to treasurer@acccalgary.ca. If you don't pay within 3 days your spot will become open for someone else.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
