Itinerary:
This trip is for BITS registered participants only. A friendly, easy paced tour up from the Lake O'hara parking lot to tree line on the NW aspect below Narao Peak (about 4 km with 500 m elevation gain). Ski the glades (about 25-30 degree slopes, with the trees fairly well spaced), lapping them as often as we wish. Let's discuss avalanche conditions (and sign our waivers) before leaving the carpool meeting place. If avy conditions require a plan-B, one option would be the simpler terrain to mellower slopes above Hidden Lake behind the Lake Louise ski resort (8 km in, 600 m elevation gain). Then we head to the Mosquito Creek Hostel for the Saturday night with all of the BITs participants.
Required Items to Bring:
The usual ski/split-board and safety gear plus that needed for an overnight stay at the hostel.

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
