This trip is appropriate for members of all
abilities. We welcome beginners,
intermediates, and also are looking for some
co-leaders to help keep the ratio of
experienced to beginners at a reasonable
number. We'll head up to the Junkyards for a
day of ice climbing. There will be top-roping
for sure, and if folks are interested, we can
also do some mock-leading or basic multi-
pitching/rappelling.
If you are interested to join the trip, please
send Susan (susan.twitchell(at)gmail(dotcom) an
email with your experience level. All levels
are welcome, but we'll need to know how much
experience each person has so we can balance
out the skills for the entire team to help
ensure a fun & safe day.
Required Items to Bring:
Helmet, harness, boots, crampons (already
fitted to your boot), ice tools, locking
carabiner, personal tether/sling, ice screws
(if you have them) warm clothing, etc. If you
are unsure, just ask!
Recommended Items to Bring:
Sense of humour and adventure!
Notes:
We need some experienced co-leaders, so if that is
you, please let Susan know you are willing to help
out!

If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
