Itinerary:
Head up the Icefields Parkway (Hwy 93 N) for a leisurely day of top roping at Balfour Wall (WI 3- 4). Departure from the school will be at 6:30 sharp, and we are not stopping for coffee on the way in or at the bakery in Lake Louise (only for gas/washroom use at the station). At the end of the day we might stop for food/beverage if the group decides to.
Required Items to Bring:
- Standard personal gear for ice (harness, belay device, prussik, ice tools, crampons, helmet, carabiners) - Warm clothing, food & drink for the day

Recommended Items to Bring:
Please advise if you have any of the following: - Dry rope, anchors - Emergency communications device

If we haven't climbed together before, please let me know a bit about your ice climbing / climbing experience. If this is your fist day ice climbing please let us know and we can talk about it.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
