This is a hotel based trip out of Golden BC, 2 rooms with 2 queen beds each are already booked at Travelodge. The cost including taxes is $54/person/night. Travelodge hotel has indoor saltwater pool, hot tub and sauna and offers free breakfasts. We will meet on Friday Dec 8 @ 4pm at Our Lady of the Assumption School parking lot and carpool to Golden. The next morning we will drive to Rogers Pass where we will check the current avi conditions at the Information Centre. Based on that info we will decide the objectives for the next 2 days. To participate you need min. AST1 and crevasse rescue courses and be comfortable skiing variable terrain and snow conditions.

Ski gear (Tele or AT), avi and glacier travel gear, snacks, water.

I'll need a firm commitment you plan to attend as there are cancellation charges if you sign up but cancel within the motel's 2 day room booking cancellation policy.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non- recoverable costs).
The Calgary Section of the Alpine Club of Canada is a not for profit / flow through course and trip provider. We organize courses and trips based on member demand and divide any costs that we incur between event attendees. In other words, we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
