A drinking weekend, with some ice climbing... well maybe not quite that way round, but Rampart does have a reputation. The climbing will depend on what's happening that weekend conditions and avalanche wise, so details will be released closer to the time, but it will be fun. Saturday night will be a pot luck, but bring food for all the other meals. As you may have gathered from the trip title, we may partake of an odd beer or Margarita - so bring something along those lines. Beginners welcome - as long as you can belay, operate in winter and bring all your own personal kit (if you're struggling for kit, speak to us....)
Required Items to Bring:
All the usual ice climbing stuff.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Should you fancy toddling off and leading something like Oh Le Tabernac, bring your own lead rack, belayer and change of underwear.

How to Get There:

Everyone attending this event will be required to sign the ACC Waiver at the beginning of the event. Read the waiver carefully to ensure you fully understand it. If possible, please print and fill it out except for the signature fields before arriving at the event.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

Payment will be up front to get on the confirmed list. If you drop out and we can't find anyone else and HI charge us, it will be non-refundable.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
