This program is an introduction to skiing in the
backcountry.
The program includes an evening session to
discuss the
program and equipment. Following the evening
session
there will be 4 trips with the intention to
progress into more
complex terrain. Due to the demands for this
program we
are expanding the program to 24 participants.
Participants
will be split into 2 groups once selection has
occurred.
The BITS Program is not a skiing instruction
program.
Participants need to have downhill skiing ability
to at least
an intermediate.
The requirements are that participants have AST 1
prior to
attending the 2nd trip, which is January 20,
