Itinerary:
All participants must be competent using an avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, ice axe, and crampons.

This is a short route (6km return) from Emerald Lake, up the slide path on the SE slopes of Emerald Peak, then a short walk along the E ridge to the summit. The plan is to start early in the morning while the slide path is frozen, and then ski down as soon as it starts to soften up, whether or not we've already reached the summit. It's supposed to be a great 1200 vertical metre ski down, hopefully on perfect corn snow.

We'll drive up FRIDAY EVENING and spend Friday night at the Lake Louise Alpine Centre / Hostel.
