Itinerary: |
Come join me for a Last minute weekend extravaganza to the
Bugaboos!! :) I will be repeating the Bugaboo Spire a top 50
classic and if you haven't been up there it's worth the long
drive out. Please do some research on this objective and send
me a message with your climbing/alpine experience. DAY1: 5
hour drive to bugaboos provincial park, hike 3 - 4 hours to
Applebee's camp ground. Day2: 4am start to climb bugaboo
spire kain route. Day3: depending on how things go climb lions
way then hike out and drive home. Or skip lions way and go
for lunch/hot springs in radium. Please prepare for long days
and to share the climbing gear load.

Required Items to Bring: |
Overnight camping gear/food, alpine rock climbing (crampons,
mountaineering boots, poles, ice screw, comfortable rock
shoes, helmet, harness, 25L minimum pack, gloves, warm
clothes/sun protection, rain gear(a must in the bugs), water
bottles/bag, food

Please let me know if you can drive. The road is not paved but
most vehicles should be able to make it through right now.

Notes: |
You must be competent at traveling on 4th and low 5th class
terrain, experience walking in crampons and know how to self
arrest (b-s col is steep and notorious for being a dangerous
place to be later season), must be competent at following 5.7
trad and on exposed lines, you must have rappel experience.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

Waiver and Membership Requirement
Participation in this activity is subject to you having a current membership and a current signed
ACC Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks Agreement (the “Waiver”), which is signed in conjunction with purchasing/renewing your membership.
A separate Waiver is not required. Your membership Waiver in place at the time of the activity will apply to your participation in this activity. You can review your completed waiver by logging onto your profile at alpineclubofcanada.ca. If your
membership renews prior to the activity taking place, you will be required to agree to a new Waiver upon renewal, this new Waiver will apply to your participation in this activity. By proceeding with the booking, you agree to the foregoing waiver terms. Bookings
without a current Waiver at the time of the activity will be cancelled.
