Itinerary: |
HI All, I'm shifting this due to the severe weather warning!
Stay dry out there.
Its been a while since I've done one of these but its been a
spicy year of events so I figured its time to brush up! Come out
and practice rope rescue skills applicable to all types of
climbing. I will be putting on a few more sessions this summer
as a safety reminder for those with experience and learning for
those who haven't had much thought on rescue techniques.
This will be a stand alone session catered to cover the basics
that every climber should have before getting on the ropes.
You are also welcome to practice/share anything you would
like to cover and some basic knowledge of escaping belay,
assisted rappels, hauling and rope ascension are always
helpful but not required.
|
Required Items to Bring: |
Locking and non locking biners,
harnesses, belay device, personal anchor, prussic, anchor and
a few draws. I will have prussic cords if you need one or
want to try other types. Bring a heavy pack for a VICTIM if
possible.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

Trip Feedback
If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
