We will carpool from Calgary on Friday morning July 13th to Lake Louise, hike in the area (objective TBD) and spend a night at Fireweed hostel (Field). Dorm room - $45/person. On Saturday at 8:30 we will catch the bus to Lake O’Hara and hike up to the Abbot Hut. This is a strenuous hike/scramble with app. 900 elevation gain that may involve hiking in snow as the Hut sits at 2926 m. Proper footwear is highly recommended. We will spend the night at the hut and go back to Lake O’Hara the following day. The last bus leaves at 5:30 pm.
The fees are: $30 hut, $15 bus, $5 administration fee. Total $50. Once you have been approved please forward your payment to the Club Treasurer: treasurer@acccalgary.caattendee

NOTE: The Friday hike is optional, if you prefer to just attend the Abbot Hut trip, we will meet at the Lake O'Hara parking lot Saturday July 14th at 8am.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
For cancellations made more than 3 full calendar days prior to the booking date, 80% will be refunded.
For cancellations made within the 3 calendar days, a 50% cancellation fee would be applied.
Cancellation on the day of travel is 100% non refundable.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
