TWO MORE SPOTS AVAILABLE as of Aug.23. Dates are Sept.1-3,2017

Description: I am keen on getting a few peeps together to go explore the Mt Fay area. Access to the Neil Colgan Hut requires climbing the 5.7 Perren Route with heavy packs. Plan is to meet in Lake Louise Thursday evening, spend the night there and leave early Friday morning to climb to the hut, lighten our packs and see which other peaks we can climb up in this area. We will return Sunday afternoon via the Perren Route.

Objectives will depend on conditions and preference but include scrambling, alpine ice, and alpine rock routes on Mt Fay, Little, Bowlen and others.

Participants will be pre-screened for rock climbing and glacier travel experience. Hut fees will cost $30 per person + $5 Admin fee (payable to the Treasurer) plus $9.80 per night backcountry wilderness pass (arranged and paid by the participant, if needed).

Required Items to Bring:
Sleeping bag, food, alpine climbing gear

How to Get There:
Carpool Departure Time:   05:00 PM
Carpool Location:   Assumption School

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
