Itinerary: |
Cowbell crag is an older traditional/mixed climbing crag in the highwood pass. While there are some great routes, a lot of the hardware needs replacing and there may not be anchors at the top of climbs. We want to do some climbing at Cowbell, but also replace some of the old hardware and ensure there are some good anchors at the top. Anyone who attends MUST be able to either lead or second a gear climb and rappel. Preference will be given to those who can lead on gear. This won't be a traditional cragging day and you should expect to spend some time hanging from ropes cleaning up routes, drilling etc. That being said, there are supposedly some great gear routes back here! We will be at Cowbell crag at 9:45, or at canoe meadows for the carpool at 9

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
