Itinerary:
This is part of the Rock review. Priority will be given to those staying at the campground Saturday night, it'll make planning much easier.

You must know how to provide a safe lead belay on single or double ropes and practiced cleaning trad protection. No multi-pitch experience necessary and you are not expected to lead, but if you feel up for it then great!

We will climb one (or two) of the many traditional multi-pitch routes on Kid goat. Options are Twilight(5.7), Highlight(5.9), Twilight Zone(5.7), Keelhaul Wall(5.6) or Slingsby's Overhang(5.7). Choice of route will depend on the abilities of our team and other climbers on the cliff. We'll plan to be early to have first choice.

We will travel up and over the climb and making a walk-off towards climbers right down a drainage with a short 4th class step. This means we will carry everything with us up the climb. Choose wisely with what you bring. If time and fitness allow, we will attempt a second route up.

Required Items to Bring:
Helmet, harness, belay device and locking carabiner, Personal prussik, cordalette, anchor package, light approach/hiking shoes, climbing pack, layers as needed for the weather, food, water.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Sense of humour and adventure

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   We will meet in the parking lot.

From TC highway, Exit at Seebee 1x. Travel south and turn West on 1A at "T" intersection. Parking lot is directly south across from entrance to Class III landfill.

Notes:
I will be staying in the group campground Saturday night before the event and we will meet at the Kid Goat parking lot.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
