Itinerary:
Depending on the weather, looking to do Rimwall Summit. Net gain (~972m), 7 km. Leaving Calgary around 9 am, getting to trailhead around 10:30 and anywhere from 4-7 hours on trail and then back to Calgary (can be persuaded to stop for a bite/drink in Canmore on the way back - this is a long weekend afterall!) This is my first ACC trip as a leader so bear with me! If you're a speed demon, probably best not to come with me. Adequate snack and photo breaks are a given on my trips.
Required Items to Bring:
Bear spray (at least 2 for the group) Snacks, water (1-2L) Hiking boots Adequate layers (light rain gear)

Recommended Items to Bring:
Gaiters Poles Sunscreen

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   From Canmore, follow Spray Lakes Road for about 22 km starting your odometer at the Bow River Bridge. You can park on both side of the road and the trail starts to the left side of a dry drainage.
Carpool Departure Time:   09:00 AM
Carpool Location:   Shouldice Arena

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
