                                | This event is organized under the Alpine
Mentorship Program (AMP). The goal of the AMP
program is to
develop stronger mountaineering base of trip
leaders and participants in the Alpine Club.
Since this is a mentorship event, participants
are expected to make decisions and actively
participate in trip planning. Participants
will be mentored by Brent Peters, ACMG guide.
For more details on the AMP program refer to
the ACC site http://www.acccalgary.ca/alpine-
mentorship-program/ This event is for Level 1.
This course is for individuals new to
mountaineering. The focus will be on rope
systems
for glacier travel, crevasse rescue, and
navigation. Possible objectives will be Boundary
Peak and A2.
There will be a trip planning session
before we head out. The cost of event is $350 per person based on
a 7:1 ratio with the guide. The cost includes a
3
nights stay at the Beauty Creek Hostel. When you sign up please email me your
previous
alpine experience. Once you have been accepted
you will be requested to make payment to the
treasurer. |

interest you might be able to find a replacement

by Lida.
 Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
