This event is organized under the Alpine
Mentorship Program (AMP). The goal of the AMP
program is to
develop stronger mountaineering base of trip
leaders and participants in the Alpine Club.
Since this is a mentorship event, participants
are expected to make decisions and actively
participate in trip planning. Participants
will be mentored by Brent Peters, ACMG guide.

This event is for Level 3 and will focus on
more advanced terrain. This course is for
individuals who are comfortable leading both
rock
and ice, with glacier rope systems and crevasse
rescue, and navigation. Participants will be
challenged to safely and efficiently lead a rope
team through snow, ice and rock terrain to reach
a summit and descend. The course will take place
at Hermit Meadows with potential objectives Mt
Tupper, Mt Rogers, Swiss Peaks, Truda Peaks, The
Hermit.
There will be a trip planning session
before we head out.
The cost of event is $550 per person based on
a 5:1 ratio with the guide. The cost does not
including camping fees. You will need to
purchase
your own
wilderness pass.
When you sign up please email me your
previous
alpine experience. Once you have been accepted
you will be requested to make payment to the
treasurer.
Meals/snacks/drinks, extra clothing and any
required personal items.

Fee is non-refundable but if there is enough
interest you might be able to find a replacement
to take your spot. Replacement must be approved
by Lida.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
