Itinerary: |
As part of the Training and Leadership
Committee's activities, we will be leading an
aspiring trip leader outing to a front range
scramble. We will be heading up a moderately
rated scramble and will choose the objective
based on the prevailing conditions and weather
forecast.
The day will see us review trip planning right
from the initial planning of the trip to the
final goodbyes at the end of the day. As we
meet up at the car pool site and then during
the actual scramble, we will look at the
various aspects of trip leading, engaging in
group discussion, scenarios as well as each of
us taking the lead throughout the day.
This trip is open for those members that are
not yet trip leaders and wish to be vetted to
lead trips this summer, as well as those that
may wish to refresh their skills.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
