Itinerary:
This will be an easy paced tour to the top of Richardson's Ridge for some scenery, and, as conditions allow, a fine "black diamond" NE-aspect run down Corral Creeek#3 on sparsely treed ribs to near the Skoki Trail half-way hut (there are mellower down-track options, too). The route is described in the "Lake Louise Sunshine Banff Ski Touring Guide": http://backcountryskiingcanada.com/Backcountry-Skiing-Lake-Louise-Ski-Resort. Be prepared for a wee bit (50 vertical ft or so) of boot-packing up a windward (no cornices expected) col to gain the ridge top. Have fun with it, its an easy paced trip. Trip is about 7 km in with 840 m elevation gain, with a short and flat skin-out to Skoki Trail and a nice easy ski-out all the way back to the cars. The easy and fast ski-out gives us lots of time to enjoy the scenery. If number of participants and skill sets allow, and with clear communication, the terrain and conditions may allow for more energetic party members to run an extra lap or two (or run up to the beacon practice area where we can regroup). See additional notes, below.
Required Items to Bring:
Skis/split-board, poles, 2 or preferably 3 antennae beacon, probe and shovel and the usual clothing layers, lunch, water.

Carpool Departure Time:   07:00 AM
Carpool Location:   West Valley Carpool Parking Lot, Calgary
Carpool Directions:   The Calgary carpool parking lot is SW of the Hwy#1 and Stoney Trail intersection, as shown in the following link: https://www.google.ca/maps/@51.0879579,-114.2385247,17.25z?hl=en

Notes:
Skin up the Lake Louise Ski Resort ski-out ('Skoki Trail'). When reaching the Temple Lodge area, detour NW off Skoki Trail and head to the beacon test area, just past and above (NW of) the Paradise Chair bottom. From here, leave the resort boundary and skin up the SE aspect of Richardson's Ridge (the resort's Paradise Chair would be behind you). Per the guidebook, at treeline take the middle of 3 cols to pass the rock-bands, boot-packing up about 50 vertical ft to gain the ridge top. Depending upon weather, this can be a great spot for lunch with a view. Ski NE, down the ridge-top being careful to avoid any cornices. Pass the top of Corral Creek#1, an east-aspect chute/bowl which is likely loaded with treacherous wind slab. Continue on ridge-top, reaching a skinny crest which marks the entrance to Corral Creek#2 east-aspect chute/bowl; we will avoid this run's bigger terrain due to the possibilities of large avalanches this year (also, there are likely thin trigger spots here). Continue on down ridge-top until it widens, marking the top of Corral Creek#3 north-east-aspect bowl/chute. Corral Creek#3 offers sparsely treed rib-tops or sub-ridges that can be skied on, to keep above most hazard. Careful route selection and one-at-a-time skiing will be required. There is a bail-out option from the top of Corral Creek#3 by exiting the ridge-top on mellow NW aspect lines, cruising down to near Hidden Lake. From here there is about a 1 km skin-out along flats to get back to Skoki Trail and the ski-out.
