Itinerary: |
Ski tour up Mount Field. Expect a long day,
elevation gain is 1400m (to summit) with a flat
6km ski in the morning and then again on the
way out. Total distance is around 20km. The
ski down is great, if your legs hold out.
Please come well rested and fully prepared to
fully participate in the decision making.
Based on current avalanche conditions I don't
expect we'll ski to the summit. The back-up plan
is to ski at treeline and get some good turns in,
or if it snows too much on Friday to go to Emerald
Peak or Narao Shoulder.
If we haven't skied together before please message
me with your ski ability, fitness and avalanche
experience.

Please review our participant responsibility
guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
