Itinerary:
We now have Ken Wylie confirmed! 'Mountains as Mentor'. Ken Wylie is an IFMGA mountain guide, educator, author and first ascensionist of difficult waterfall ice lines in the Canadian Rockies. In 2003, as an assistant guide, he was involved in a devastating avalanche catastrophe that claimed the lives of seven clients. Since then, his self-exploration has changed how he sees and understands the purpose of the high stakes game of mountain exploration. Wylie likens mountains to be as a great mentor. He knows that wisdom dictates that all knowledge is most powerful when unearthed by the learner through inquiry. Safety resides in part, in the realm of self- knowledge gained in this way. This talk complements the 2014 publication of his book "Buried."

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons.
