Itinerary:
Skin up Sunshine resort and hit the backcountry area in search for powder (just went there, and found LOTS). Alpine likely still touchy, thus probably focusing below tree line. Expect a bit of exploration and mixture of terrain, including steeps and tight areas - you need to be comfortable with this. There should be some nice pillows as well :) Also expect a good workout on trail breaking, snow was deep on Tuesday. If we have not skied together before, please send me a brief note with 1) your skiing skill level, 2) your backcountry experience and 3) type of transceiver.
Required Items to Bring:
Transceiver (3 antenna digital), shovel (metal only), probe, helmet, headlamp, plus the usual food / clothing for a potentially long day / etc.

How to Get There:
Carpool Departure Time:   07:00 AM
Carpool Location:   Assumption School
Carpool Directions:   Assumption School near Sarcee & TransCanada

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

If you can't make it, please take yourself off list and send me a note
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
