Itinerary:

Plan is to drive to Rogers Pass early Sat morning drop into the Discovery Centre, get parking permit and shuttle a car to Bostock parking lot, and then skin up to Balu Pass, drop into the valley and build a camp. Sunday ski over Catamount Pass, and then set up camp and do some turns if time permits. Monday skin up to McGill Pass and ski out..

If interested in joining the trip and we have not skied together before, send me an email with your backcountry and winter camping experience. Participants will need to be in good shape and willing to contribute to group decisions.

Sometime before the trip, please take the test for the annual permit for Rogers Pass: Ski Touring in Rogers Pass and The Winter Permit System

Required Items to Bring:
Wilderness Pass, skis/board, skins, boots, poles, winter camping gear, probe, beacon (2 - 3 antenna), shovel, skins, food for three days and warm clothing.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Helmet, chocolate.

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
