Itinerary: |
Skill Session Tuesdays!!
Come out and practice rope rescue skills applicable to all
types of climbing. I will have a few accident scenarios we can
work on that involve using the skills covered over the last few
months. I will do a review at the start of the session to get
people kicked off. See agenda below but you are welcome to
practice/share anything you would like to cover. Beginners are
more than welcome but it will be most effective if you are able
to do a few minutes of research pre meeting. (Escaping
belays, hauling techniques, extended rappels, rope ascension)
|
Required Items to Bring: |
Bring everything you need to practice! You will need locking
and non locking biners, harnesses, belay device, personal
anchor, prussic, anchor, and a few draws. I will have prussic
cords if you need one or want to try other types.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
