Itinerary:
I live too far away from the hangar to get there after work, so I will be going to the Chinook climbing gym. Come out and get some laps in on plastic. Great training for ice climbing, or that winter climbing trip you have planned! Everyone must know how to top rope belay and have passed the belay test at Chinook climbing gym. If you have not taken the belay test you can take it at the start of the evening. There will be no set timeframe for this even, so you can just stick around until your arms are jelly and then take off. It is also ok if you will be late, but please let me know so that I don't wait at the front for you. I will be at the front of the gym near the desk from around 6:25-6:35 and then we will be climbing. If you arrive a little late, just do a lap around the gym and look for someone you recognize.
Required Items to Bring:
Shoes, harness, belay device, chalk

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
