Rock climbing is getting chilly - let's get
ready for the upcoming ice and mixed season!
The Canmore Bouldering Cave is the only gym in
the area that allows you to use you outdoor ice
tools on the bouldering walls. You may be able
to dangle from dry ice tools at certain gyms,
but there's really no substitute for your
actual ice tools in hand! With all sorts of
roof problems, and overhanging bouldering
walls, this place is the perfect venue for
working on the strength and techniques that
you'll need to send you projects this winter.
In particular, if you've wanted to practice
some of the more advanced movements of the
horizontal m-climbing world, like figure 4's
and 9's, this gym provides close-to-ground
features (with a padded floor) that make for
the perfect place to practice this skill
safely. Some additional perks are that you are
free to set you own routes here (or just add a
bolt or hold for a particular training
exercise), and you can plug you phone/mp3
player into the stereo and listen to your own
music! It's a rock climbing bouldering gym,
too, so if that's more your style, do that!

Notes: |
Payment is via cash-box. I would recommend
having exact change as there's no telling if
the right change will be in the box when we
arrive. The drop-in admission fee is $10 on
Wednesdays. All other days is $15. You'll also
need to sign a waiver if you don't have one on
file there already. This is a community-run
venue, and there is no permanent staff. I'm a
member and will try my best to provide help
with the payment, waiver, etc if anyone needs
it.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

Trip Feedback
If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
