Itinerary:
Meet for carpooling at recycle bins. Drive to Elbow parking lot in K-country. Ride mountain bikes to Romulus backcountry campsite along Little Elbow River. River crossing. Moderate scramble up Mt Romulus and return same route. 5-7 hours from backcountry campsite plus ~ 1 hr. bike ride to campsite. If weather and/or conditions dictate destination may change. See Alan Kane's route description Pg. 125
Required Items to Bring:
Boots and layered conditions, food, water, helmet, ice-axe, icers, mountain bike. Footwear to cross river, though water levels are pretty low right now so it should be painless.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Trekking pole, crampons, camera, sunscreen and hot drinks.

How to Get There:
Carpool Departure Time:   07:00 AM
Carpool Location:   Green recycle bins by #1 Hwy and Stoney Trail
Carpool Directions:   West from Calgary on #1 past Stoney Trail. Exit right, cross under #1 highway, then back east to green recycle bin parking lot. I think the bins a gone now but the lot is still there.

Notes:
The pace of the trip will be moderate. Please let me know if you have a car or truck that can carry multiple bikes and you're willing to drive.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
