Itinerary:
Rescheduling due to the low temperatures...Dust off your beacon, put in some fresh batteries, and come practice beacon search for an hour or so at Canmore Park in NW Calgary. We can practice single and multiple searches. If there is enough snow we can even go through shoveling and probing basics.
Required Items to Bring:
Beacon, headlamp, clothing sufficient to stand around in the conditions of the evening.

Recommended Items to Bring:
An old beacon (if you have one) and a bag with some padding inside to protect it if we bury it. This will allow us to cycle through so everyone has a chance to practice. Shovel and probe if you like.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   Meet in front of Canmore Road and 28th Ave NW. There is free street parking.

Notes:
As ski/ice climbing season will soon be upon us come and do some practice. Note: This is not a training course per se; more an opportunity to practice and refresh skills that have already been acquired. That said I am happy to help with some of the basics.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
