Mar.15/17: This trip is postponed to April 27-
May 1 due to poor avi forecast for our previous
set date. Now two people can't make it for the
new dates.. anyone interested?
Questionnaire will be sent, make sure you are
fit enough for this trip to apply thanks.
The plan is: April 27 - ski to Peyto Hut.
April 28 - ski to Balfour Hut. Stay
two
nights.
April 30 - ski to Scott Duncan Hut.
May 1 - ski out.
Hut fees is $120/person.

Required Items to Bring: |
Transceiver (digital 2+ antennae), snow shovel,
probe, warm
clothing, ski gear, sunglasses/ski goggles and
headlamp. Ice
axe, crampons, harness, glacier gear (inc.
crevasse
rescue kit),
hut overnight gear.

Pre-requisites
Mandatory: AST1, previous experience of
backcountry
ski trips
Desirable: AST2, previous experience of glacier
travel.
We'll have an evening meet up in Calgary before
the
trip to review crevasse rescue systems and talk
about the trip logistics.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
