"A long, easy multi-pitch sport climb, Rundlehorn is easily accessed from Banff and offers great views. The approach is short (<15 minutes) but fairly steep. The climbing is mostly slabby, and while the grade is easy (especially the first 6 pitches) it can be a full long day with 11 pitches and 10 rappels. I can lead the whole thing, or share the leading.
IMPORTANT: interested people I have never climbed with MUST email me a short list of recent climbs they've done, confirm they are comfortable lead-belaying, and know how to rappel safely. You will not be added to the participant list until this is received.

Required Items to Bring:
"I will provide group gear (draws, slings, rope(s)), but each participant must have:
CLIMING GEAR: helmet (mandatory, there is loose rock), harness, belay device & locking biner (that you can rappel down with), and extra locking biner or two, a double-length sling or personal anchor system, and a short piece or cord or hollowblock to setup a backup prussik for rappels. Rock climbing shoes are nice, but I often climb the first 6 pitches in approach shoes. Whatever you bring make sure you are comfortable climbing in them for a while.
PERSONAL ITEMS: lunch, snacks, drinks, weather-appropriate clothing, a light jacket as it can get windy, suncreen / sunglases, camera, and a small light backpack to carry it all. Chalk bag.
If you are missing anything I likely can bring an extra, just let me know.
