Itinerary: |
Trad practice - postponed from two rainy weekends!
This will be an evening of trad climbing practice with priority for
the Women's Mentor Group. For those who are new to trad
climbing, we'll go over different types of gear and how they
work. You'll practice placing and removing gear on the ground
so that you can second trad climbs as well as working toward
leading. If you have experience, come out and get some
mileage. We can run mock leads on top rope as well as real
leads. There are also routes available in the area for sport
leading and practicing multipitch techniques (belaying from
above and rappelling).

Let me know if you want to come but can't leave until later -
we may be able to organize a second carpool group.
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
